About Our Lists

What do we do with your contact information?

When you donate to ISPC, become a member, or sign on as a single-payer supporter—through “Show your support” under “Get involved” on our home page, or on a paper sign-up sheet—we enter your contact information on our master list. This list includes several thousand single-payer supporters. How you give us your information determines how we use it.

  • Donors. Your name and contact information will not be shared with anyone.

  • Members. Your name and contact information will not be shared with anyone. As long as your dues are current, you will receive official communications from the ISPC Board and Board committees: notices of elections, membership meetings, and matters the membership is to vote on. You can unsubscribe from these mailings at any time.

  • Supporters. Your name and address, but not your email or phone number, may be shared with legislators to show them the extent of support for single-payer health care.

  • All of the above. ISPC leadership sends out periodic emails such as calls to action, requests for volunteers, recommended readings, and single-payer news from Illinois. You can unsubscribe from these mailings at any time.

What is the ISPC discussion group?

This is a virtual forum (IllinoisSinglePayer@yahoogroups.com) where single-payer supporters and those who want to learn more can connect, ask questions, and share information and ideas. Anyone can join. You can sign up for this group from the drop-down menu under “Get involved” on our home page.

The discussion is not moderated, though people who use the group for other than its intended purpose will be informed and may be moderated if they continue. You can unsubscribe at any time. (If you think you have joined this discussion group but are not getting emails, please notify us at website@ilsinglepayer.org.)
