The Campaign
As the Covid-19 pandemic has swept the globe, only in the U.S. do we see such atrocities as:
People losing their health care coverage along with their jobs
Hospitals laying off workers because of cutbacks in lucrative procedures
Competition and chaos in distributing critical supplies
People surviving the virus, only to face catastrophic medical bills
And of course, all of these failures, along with serious infections and deaths, take an outsized toll on people of color.
Our country’s reliance on a fundamentally corrupt, inequitable, and racist health care system must stop. We urge all elected officials – and specifically our U.S. Representatives in Congress – to sign H.R.1976 - The Medicare for All Act of 2021.
