As of August 4 we have heard no more about this proposed action, therefore have no plans at this time to attend.

Rabbi Michael Ben Josef of Chicago Activist Coalition for Justice proposed the inclusion of Medicare for all.

From an organizer: PURPOSE: All social justice causes will join together to brief the media and take their cause to walk on the Dan Ryan from (gun violence, police brutality, Missing person, animal rights and etc.) MEDICARE FOR ALL (M4A) is an cause that needs to be taken seriously and achieved. With so much attention focused on this resistance will help each cause a push to allow it to be heard

ROUTE: The group plans to enter the Dan Ryan using the 47th street ramp, and exit the nearest exit ramp. At the exit, participates have the option to disperse or join this march to Michigan & Roosevelt.

LAW ENFORCEMENT ROLE: Chicago Police and State Police are aware of this event. They will block traffic from a distance before 47th ramp to allow a safe entry onto the Dan Ryan. Also, law enforcement will escort participates throughout the route to Michigan & Roosevelt.
